Belt Speed Sensors

To compliment the high precision conveyor weighing systems and belt weigh feeders, Process Automation have developed two high precision belt speed sensors.

MODEL PT-500

PT-500

The PT-500 tachometer is suitable for attachment to any non-driven pulley rotating in the range 24 to 3000 RPM. A low speed option (PT-501LS) suitable for 1 to 50 RPM is also available.

An optional Tachometer Drive Assembly is available, to simplify installation of the PT-500 speed sensor (it bolts to the conveyor stringer). The Tachometer Drive Assembly has been designed to ensure correct transfer of linear belt speed to the tachometer wheel to eliminate errors caused by belt tension variations, slip and friction.

MODEL PT-501

The PT-501 is suitable for belt speeds in the range 24 to 3000 RPM. A low speed option suitable for 1 to 50 RPM is also available. The PT-501 speed sensor is provided with Integrated Drive Mechanism, allowing for a lower cost installation.
